Berliner Souring Blend
The Berliner Blend is lactic acid forward to resemble a classic Berliner Weisse style. Developed in the 16th century, the Berliner style of sour beer was an extremely popular drink The Berliner Blend recreates the sour flavor of the Berliner Weisse without introducing potentially destructive Lactobacillius into the brewery. Berliner Souring Blend is a mixture of Organic Acids proportioned to mimic the acids developed in microbiologic souring of beers. Hawkins proprietary technology is used to remove off-notes in flavor. This blend is based on several Berliner sour beers.
